Lingual braces are fixed braces bonded to the back of the teeth, so nothing is visible from the front. We provide them as a hidden alternative to conventional braces at our Primrose Hill practice.

Lingual brackets are custom-made for the inside surface of each tooth, so the planning has to be precise. We plan diagnosis first and confirm the right system before any work begins. If a different appliance would serve you better, we say so; self-ligating braces or Invisalign Teen may fit after assessment.

Adults and professionals who need a fixed appliance but do not want it seen. For younger patients we provide Invisalign First. Once the teeth are in position, orthodontic retainers hold the result. The brackets are made to fit the inner surface of your teeth, so they stay hidden and interfere with speech as little as possible.
We bond the brackets to the back of your teeth. Expect some pressure as the wires start to move the teeth, and a short period of adjusting to the brackets against your tongue.
Regular visits let us adjust the wires and deal with any complications early.
