Imogen’s Dental Implant Journey
Imogen, our lovely patient was referred to London Dental Specialist by a fellow specialist colleague in Dubai.
She fell over at the age of 13 and since then she never stopped experiencing reoccurring problems caused by dental trauma.
Dental trauma can result in tooth loss despite best efforts at retaining and maintaining compromised teeth. Upper front teeth are more likely to suffer from trauma, and their loss can result in significant cosmetic and confidence problems in patients.
Most often people who suffer trauma to their front teeth as teenagers tend to need dental implants later in life. The key to success is to delay the need for implants till they are in their twenties or thirties.

Dental Implant Patient Treatment
Root canal treatments
After a very thorough examination, Imogen was referred to see our root canal specialist Dr Neha for having redone some root canal work.
The beauty of coming to London Dental Specialists gave her the opportunity to be treated by two remarkable specialists under the same roof.
Bone graft
Bone graft technique was required to correct the deficiency of natural bone caused by dental trauma in the childhood.
Gum graft
Gum graft procedure was needed in the correction of the cosmetically unpleasant gum recession.
Dental implant
A successful implant was placed in the upper jaw followed by a 3 months healing period.
Implant crown
When the implant was fully integrated into the jaw bone, an implant crown resembling the natural teeth was placed.
Results
Imogen has regained the confidence in smiling again. She used to be very self -conscious about her problem and used to cover her mouth each time she was smiling.
