Dental emergencies need a fast, accurate response to stop pain and protect the tooth. This page helps you identify which type of emergency you have and the treatment it usually needs at our practice in Primrose Hill.
Dr Ope Sodeinde, GDC-registered specialist periodontist (GDC No. 104071), leads the practice, and our team sees urgent cases first.

We treat patients from across Central London and its inner and outer suburbs. Pain is usually the first priority, so the examination and x-rays are aimed at finding the cause quickly and then stopping the discomfort.
Acute pain needs immediate attention. We treat toothache and severe tooth pain by resolving the underlying cause, and where there is a dental abscess and facial swelling we control the infection first. Where the tooth can be saved, root canal treatment is usually the route.
Accidents happen. If you have a knocked-out tooth, we attempt to replant and save the natural tooth. If you have a broken or chipped tooth, we assess the damage to decide the right restoration. Root canal treatment or an extraction is quoted after the examination, before any treatment starts.
An emergency visit is priced as an examination plus the cost of whatever treatment it shows you need. Because dental emergency costs depend on the specific problem, we give you an itemised breakdown at the visit before any treatment starts.

We are at 111 Regent's Park Road, Primrose Hill, London NW1 8UR. The clinical team is led by Dr Ope Sodeinde, specialist periodontist.
We diagnose the cause of the problem before treating it, which relieves the pain and reduces the chance of the same tooth causing trouble again. See our emergency dentist costs in London.
The most serious are significant facial swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, and acute dental injury such as a knocked-out or fractured tooth. Uncontrolled dental pain is also an emergency. All of these need prompt assessment to prevent further complications.
That depends on your symptoms. Decay that has caused pain is usually treated with a tooth filling, which removes the decay and seals the tooth. Pain from an infected nerve is treated with root canal treatment or, where the tooth cannot be saved, extraction.
You do not need to choose before you arrive. Our clinicians examine the tooth and recommend the treatment. Some patients need a tooth extraction, which we carry out under local anaesthetic or intravenous sedation. Others need a crown to restore a fractured tooth.
Costs depend on the clinical action required. You get a clear breakdown of fees at your assessment, and our emergency pricing page sets out the detail.
We examine your teeth and gums, take any in-mouth x-rays needed, and explain the diagnosis and options. It is a straightforward visit, however long it has been since you last saw a dentist. Learn what happens at your same-day emergency appointment and how to book.
