Orthodontics is the controlled movement of teeth and jaws to improve alignment, bite and function. Dr Kia Papagalani, specialist orthodontist (GDC No. 228487), leads orthodontic treatment at our Primrose Hill practice.

The result of orthodontic treatment depends on who plans the tooth movement. Every case here is planned by a specialist orthodontist, not fitted from a template.
Fees are itemised before you commit, so there is no fee surprise part-way through. We are a CQC-registered dental practice. Your first appointment costs £195 and includes the clinical examination and in-mouth x-rays, so the imaging needed for a first diagnosis is part of the appointment rather than an extra charge. You can read what happens at your orthodontic consultation and how to book.
If fear of dental work has kept you away, we offer sedation options for anxious patients so that anxiety is not the reason you put treatment off.
We work diagnosis first: the specialist orthodontist examines your teeth and jaw alignment, confirms whether you are suitable, and only then quotes for the treatment you need. The consultation fee of £195 goes towards your treatment. Payment options are available and our staff can talk you through them. For a full breakdown, see our orthodontics costs page.
Leave your number and we will call you back. Nothing is booked until you say so.
We plan with 3D imaging, which lets us show you a virtual preview of the planned tooth movement before anything is fitted. The options include Invisalign Full, Invisalign Lite and Invisalign Express (for minor corrections or slight relapse), and, for younger patients, Invisalign Teen and Invisalign First.
Treatment is led by Dr Kia Papagalani, specialist orthodontist. Complex bite cases can also be treated with custom headgear alongside other appliances.
Whether extraction is needed depends on how much space your teeth require. We decide this at your initial assessment.
We apply controlled pressure with braces or aligners to guide each tooth into a better position over time, correcting crowding, gaps and bite problems.
A clinical plan, an appliance (fixed braces or clear aligners), regular review visits, and retainers afterwards. If visible braces concern you, there are discreet options.
Cost depends on the complexity of your case and the system used. You receive a clear breakdown of fees at your consultation, and the cost can be spread with a payment plan.
Suitability and treatment length can only be judged from a clinical examination. You can arrange your assessment with the specialist orthodontist to get a timeline for your own case.

Removable aligners can be taken out to eat and clean, which makes oral hygiene easier than with fixed braces, but not every movement can be achieved with aligners. Treatment time and cost both depend on the complexity of your case and the system it needs, and we confirm both at your first visit. Book a written assessment.
For a discreet approach we offer the full Invisalign Full range, plus 3M Clarity Aligners and Simpli5.
Some cases need the control of a fixed appliance. We fit fixed metal braces and, as a less visible alternative, clear ceramic braces. After the active phase we fit orthodontic retainers to hold the result.
To see the systems side by side, compare braces and aligners: which option fits.
We examine your teeth and bite to confirm treatment is safe for you, and set your timeline and total cost.
The specialist orthodontist designs your movement plan and decides whether Invisalign, lingual braces or another system suits your goals.
We fit your appliance and review progress at regular visits. For patients with high anxiety, sedation dentistry is available.
We fit retainers to keep your teeth in their new positions. For children, we also offer early orthodontic treatment for young children to reduce future alignment problems.
Aligners suit patients who want a removable, discreet appliance and can commit to the wear schedule. Fixed braces suit movements that aligners cannot achieve reliably. The right choice comes out of the examination, not a preference alone. Book your assessment to find out which suits your case.
Teeth drift if they are not held, so retainers are part of every plan. Fixed and removable retainers carry a 12-month warranty. Cleaning, wear schedules and what to do if a retainer breaks are covered in our orthodontic aftercare guide.
Whether treatment is safe for you and how long it will take; whether any teeth need to be removed; what the process involves for your teeth; and what it will cost. You can review orthodontics costs in London before you visit.
All are provided by the specialist orthodontist at our Primrose Hill practice.
You leave with a written plan and itemised quote that is yours to keep and use at any other practice. Book your consultation with Dr Papagalani to confirm you are suited to treatment.
