General dentistry costs depend on the treatment your mouth needs. This page explains how fees are set at our Primrose Hill practice and what you pay before any treatment is agreed.
A dental consultation is £195 and the fee goes towards your treatment. It includes a clinical examination and in-mouth x-rays; CT scans and OPGs are charged separately.
Led by Dr Ope Sodeinde.
A small cavity is a filling. Left for a year it may be a root canal treatment and a crown; left longer, an extraction and a replacement. Putting off the visit is common, and it is the main reason dental bills grow. The general and family dentistry in London we provide is built around catching problems while they are still the cheaper ones.
Preventive visits are the least expensive care we offer: ultrasonic cleaning to remove plaque and tartar, dental sealants to protect the chewing surfaces of back teeth, and fluoride to strengthen enamel that is starting to weaken.
The consultation fee is fixed. Everything after it is quoted item by item, in writing, before you commit, and the quote is yours to take elsewhere if you wish. You pay only for the treatment the examination shows you need.
Whether you come for one of our dental examinations or for urgent dental abscess treatment, the diagnosis comes first and the quote follows it.
Leave your number and we will call you back. Nothing is booked until you say so.

Most dental insurance plans provide excellent coverage for preventive and basic general dentistry services. Preventive care like check-ups and cleanings are typically covered at 80-100% while basic procedures like fillings are usually covered at 70-80%. Major procedures such as crowns may be covered at 50%.
We work with all major insurance providers and can help maximize your benefits. For families, we offer membership plans that can provide significant savings on routine dental care.
Patients moving from NHS to private care, patients who have not seen a dentist in years, and patients who simply want a clear price before they agree to anything. We treat everything from professional teeth cleaning to TMJ and jaw pain treatment. If you are anxious about visiting, tell us when you book. The consultation with Dr Sodeinde establishes what you need and what it will cost.
We examine your teeth and gums and take dental x-rays where they are needed. This is the visit that sets the cost of your care.
You receive the plan and the price for each item before anything is booked, together with the likely number of visits.
We carry out the agreed work, whether that is restoring decayed teeth or fitting sleep apnoea devices. If the plan needs to change part-way, we tell you and re-quote before continuing.
Complications can occur in any dental procedure. We deal with them openly and tell you if they affect the cost.
Regular reviews keep small problems from becoming expensive ones.
All clinical care is led by Dr Ope Sodeinde, GDC-registered specialist periodontist (GDC No. 104071). Routine treatment is provided by our general dentists, and referrals to our specialists in endodontics and orthodontics happen within the practice.
The consultation is £195 and goes towards treatment. The cost of anything further is set out in your itemised quote. We offer payment options to spread the cost, and our staff can go through the particulars with you.
That depends on the procedure and your home care. We explain the expected lifespan of each treatment at the examination, and where laser dentistry is appropriate we include it in the plan.
Materials are chosen for the clinical needs of each tooth and are named in your quote, so you can see what you are paying for.
Options usually differ by material and durability. We explain the differences and their prices at the appointment, and we advise patients moving from NHS to private care on what changes.
The exact cost of your care is set at the first visit. Learn what happens at your new patient consultation and how to book to get a precise quote from Dr Sodeinde.
