North Thames Regional Cleft Lip and Palate Service
- Responsible for treating children and adult patients with clefts of the lip and palate in the North Thames region
- Covers North London, Essex, and South and West Hertfordshire
- Jointly run by the St Andrews Centre, Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, and Great Ormond Street Hospital, London
- Number of cleft treatment centers in England and Wales reduced from around fifty to thirteen in 1995
- Specialist teams at the thirteen centers now treat more patients with clefts per year, resulting in a better service for patients and families
