Career in Dentistry and Orthodontics
- Practiced dentistry in Woodstock, Vermont from 1873
- Formed Vermont State Dental Society in 1876

- Introduced elastics for force application in Orthodontics
- Baker Anchorage combined rubber tubing with a wire crib
- Baker's discovery eliminated the need for tooth extraction in some cases

- Married Julia Willis in 1874
- Had two sons: Lawrence Willis Baker and Warren Stearns Baker
- Lawrence became an Orthodontic Professor at Harvard Dental School
- Warren died at a young age
- Retired to Hillsborough, New Hampshire after Julia's death in 1918
- Died in Hillsborough in 1934

Henry Albert Baker (November 27, 1848 – April 24, 1934) was an American orthodontist who was known to introduce orthodontics to the use of intermaxilary elastics. He is also known for the Baker anchorage.
