Once you and our team have decided on your Invisalign treatment we will scan your teeth and the technology takes over for a little while then. Invisalign uses the very best of cutting edge technology to map out how your teeth will move into alignment and a series of clear aligners are constructed in the dental laboratory. Your first aligner is fitted and then you will receive custom made aligners to change every 1-2 weeks depending on the range of movement required.
Teeth will gently move into a better position and you can see the changes almost immediately. At the completion of the teeth straightening phase of Invisalign we often whiten your teeth and maybe carry out some contouring for the final beautification.

How long will my Invisalign treatment take?
Your treatment time depends on the way your teeth are misaligned and the movements required to improve their alignment. Some simple treatments may be completed in a couple of months, others may take 18 months to complete. The beauty with Invisalign is that we can confidently predict how long your treatment will take and we will discuss this with you at your initial consultation.
I've heard braces can be a bit sore when fitted, is Invisalign the same?
It’s true that on initial fit of fixed braces patients can feel a little uncomfortable but the same is not true with Invisalign. The clear aligners are custom made and extremely close fitting to your teeth, this allows for very gentle and gradual movement that is extremely comfortable. You will hardly know they are there.
Do I have to wear the aligners all the time? Do I eat in them?
Your Invisalign treatment will run as smoothly and quickly as possible the more you wear your aligners. We advise that you wear them for at least 20 hours a day which allows time to remove them whilst eating. They are so comfortable and almost invisible that you will have no trouble with full time wear, especially as you can see the dramatic changes so quickly!
I have a lot of face to face meetings and meetings on Zoom where I am on camera, can I take them out for these?
As we said, we do prefer that you wear your aligners as much as possible and of course sleep in them. Yes, you could remove for the odd meeting but we know you will be amazed by the comfort and unobtrusive nature of this treatment. You will be able to talk as usual with them in and no one will know you are wearing the aligners. It is an ideal treatment for those who are in regular contact with people and on camera too.
